Global Ecology Restoration Foundation (GERF) is non-governmental organization registered in Tanzania and founded in 2021. Focusing on protecting, conserving, managing and restoring ecosystem by promoting environment stewardship and support the wise use of natural resources for best ecosystem, it constitutes of five thematic areas; Forest, Wildlife, Energy, Ocean and Water.

We believe that sustainable forests are critical to our collective future. GERF is a sustainability leader through our work in standards, conservation, community, and education. As an independent, non-profit organization, we collaborate with our diverse network to provide
solutions to local and global sustainability challenges. GERF works with the forest sector, brand owners, conservation groups, resource professionals, landowners, educators, local communities, Indigenous Peoples, governments, and universities. Moreover, GERF has committed to contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) number 1. No Poverty, 6. Clean Water and Sanitation , 7. Affordable and Clean Energy, 13. Climate Action, 14. Life Below Water, 15. Life on Land, 17. Partnership for the Goals

GERF mainly focus on the following regions; Dar es salaam, Morogoro and Pwani. Nevertheless, It will extend its geographical areas beyond its main focus in the near future. 

GERF has  five working thematic areas which are; Forest, Wildlife, Energy, Ocean and Water.
